Why I Built It
Most bread calculators either lock you into one style or do not account for pre-ferments like tangzhong, poolish, or stiff starter. I wanted a single place where you could choose your bread style and leavening method, adjust total weight and hydration, and get a full recipe with accurate baker percentages and step-by-step instructions.
Who It Is For
The calculator is for anyone who bakes at home: beginners learning hydration and fermentation, and experienced bakers who want to tweak a recipe without redoing the math. It supports sourdough (liquid, stiff, and sweet stiff starters), yeast-based doughs with poolish or biga, and the Japanese tangzhong method.
How It Helps
